- Velkommen til Tyler! Aebleskiver Days 2008 will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 25, 26 and 27. Tyler's Aebleskiver Days is an annual tradition that promises fun, food, and a great time for the entire family!
There are games for the kids, crafts and entertainment for the adults, and of course, good food everywhere, including our famous Danish sandwiches, and the aebleskive - a tennis ball shaped Danish pancake. - Tyler is a great place to visit and a wonderful place to be!
Tyler is a town of 1,220 people located in beautiful southwest Minnesota. It is close to over 30 lakes and boasts a fine school system, hospital, new 18 hole golf course, swimming pool, parks and over 100 fine businesses to serve you. To find out more about Tyler, click on the link below to the Tyler Web Page. - Aebleskiver Days has changed its date and expanded into a three day celebration.
Although it had been in June for a number of years, Tyler's summer celebration moved to July several years ago. There was some discussion to move it back to June, but for 2008 it will remain the fourth weekend in July. The celebration has also been expanded from its usual two days to a three day weekend. Events planned for Sunday are designed to make it a "Community Day" for Tyler. Note: Most of the events this year will again be at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in Tyler, altho Danish Sandwiches and Danish Crafts are at Danebod Folk School. Note: Several things will not be continued from Saturday to Sunday. Aebleskivers will only be served on Saturday, as will the Danish open-faced sandwiches.
